Anna Williams

Before joining HLM, Anna ran her own company, Data, Design + Writing, focused on public health research and communications. Through her company’s mission of developing best-in-class communications products that contribute to social good, she developed new ways to share complex public health information in easily digestible formats. She has published journal articles on midwifery and other topics, and treats data visualization and design as integral to her writing. Anna also lived in Bangladesh working for projects run by the United States Agency for International Development and the United Nations Population Fund.

With this background, Anna complemented the skill mix on the C3T team when she joined in 2024. While writing and designing patient-facing materials, she is routinely awed by her colleagues’ talent and commitment to clear, accurate communication. She appreciates the opportunity to build new systems and innovate with her team.

Anna holds a master’s degree from The New School and a bachelor’s degree with honors in English from the University of California Santa Barbara. She is a member of the science and humanities honor society Phi Beta Kappa and is a Certified Medical Publication Professional. She is also an active member of the American Medical Writers Association, the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals, and various data visualization professional networks.
