Craig Harris

Graphics & Digital Media Designer

Craig Harris

As a Graphics & Digital Media Designer, Craig works with our partners to create and develop unique, creative, and engaging content to help people make informed health-related decisions. He fuses his human-centered approach to visual design with health literacy to help individuals from all walks of life easily understand complex information.

As a creative problem solver, Craig enjoys using effective visual communication to break down complex health information to help people find, understand, and use it in a way that works for them. Inspired by community health advocates, as well as his own family health experiences, Craig has developed a passion for health literacy and how design can have a positive impact on people, processes, and patient materials. Craig believes that good design helps us all navigate the healthcare system a bit easier.

At HLM, Craig spends his days developing patient-education materials, social media content, and digital assets, all driven by evidence-based design and plain language best practices, his diverse skills and experience, and lot of creativity.

Craig’s journey as a creative is unique and he brings years of multimedia experience to the team. Before HLM, Craig worked with his twin brother and business partner as the co-founder of a local design studio in St. Louis, where he developed brand strategies and creative content for local small businesses. Prior to starting his entrepreneurial journey, Craig worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Saint Louis for the Center for Learning Innovation as an in-house graphic designer. In that role, he helped design and develop e-Learning assets, marketing materials, graphic user interfaces, and both web and mobile applications for multiple business lines across the Federal Reserve System.
