Senior Health Literacy Project Manager

Brandy is a registered nurse with twelve years of experience working in diverse disease areas. She has a passion for helping individuals understand their health conditions and treatment options. As a Senior Health Literacy Project Manager, Brandy works across HLM teams with project managers, plain language writers, and designers to create clear health literate educational materials and programs to help individuals make informed decisions about their health or a loved one’s health.

Brandy also manages the Explore Transplant and Explore Living Donation Dialysis Provider trainings. These trainings educate dialysis providers on how to effectively communicate with individuals living with kidney disease and provide these individuals with the knowledge and resources to effectively make decisions about their health and understand what treatment options are available. These trainings are nationally known and approved by the American Association of Critical Care nurses, the National Association of Social Workers, and the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Prior to working for HLM Brandy worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a lead project manager for patient engagements with a primary focus on bringing the voice of the patients into early drug development to allow for clinical trial teams to have a better understanding of how individuals live daily with their health conditions and design clinical trials that meet the needs of individuals in the community.
